Public playground joins automatically. Everyone gets a sled and a pen. Private rooms still work by code or invite.
Same-origin browser tabs use a direct BroadcastChannel link, including offline. Different browsers/devices use WebRTC; public MQTT brokers carry only discovery and encrypted signaling. The public playground is open to everyone using this build. For a private room, only share the generated code with your friends; anyone with the code can join. No accounts, analytics, or cloud saves. Props and track edits are shared; named sketchbook saves and restart bookmarks stay on your browser. Some networks block direct connections; this prototype does not include a paid TURN relay. A visible peer takes over hosting when the current host tab goes into the background. Browser suspension can still interrupt a session. Host migration resumes the most recent received state, not a deterministic rollback.
For reliable multi-tab play, open two copies of the same hosted URL (HTTPS, or localhost). A chat preview or file:// URL may have an isolated browser origin. The status above reports actual peer links; a discovery connection alone is not a connected friend.
Riders reset individually. Changing the world below replaces the shared track, so only the host can do it.
A downhill run, a launch, and room to improvise.
Rolling hills, a speed strip, and a big loop.
A crate stack, a ball pit, and a breakable bridge.
One starting platform. The rest is up to you.
Auto-saved locally on every peer. Export a copy to keep or share it outside the room.
Draw underneath a falling rider. Ruin a perfectly good ramp. Everybody has their own sled, pen, and camera.
Boost pushes in the direction you draw. Bounce throws you away from the line. Scenery never collides. Cut removes just the brushed section. Shift+Cut removes a whole stroke. Select a track to move it, rotate it, change its material, or bend it with Handles. Shift-click selects several items. All edits can be undone.
Drawing temporarily holds the camera still. Release the pen to resume following. A crash does not reset the track or anyone else. The last remaining rider keeps the world.
Made by Tront · Trent Sterling. An original multiplayer physics toy inspired by Line Rider and classic browser ragdoll games. No original-game assets or code.
Keep the good bad ideas. Named saves live on this browser; the room still autosaves separately.
Loading a sketch replaces the shared world. Only the host can load; everybody can save a copy.
Personal bookmarks for this track. Returning parks only your rider; the world and your friends keep moving.
Up to six per track, saved on this browser.
INKRIDE is a free shared sketchbook with physics, in the spirit of Line Rider. Draw a track in ink, press Space, and a rider on a sled follows your line: boost ink for speed, bounce ink for lift, ramps, bowls and loops as presets, and physical toys to knock around. Bad landings are the fun part. Make something worth crashing.
Open a room and everyone in it draws on the same sheet and rides it together. Rooms find each other through public MQTT brokers and talk over WebRTC, tabs in one browser sync over BroadcastChannel, and nothing runs on a server of ours. Sketches and restart bookmarks save in your browser and export as files. One HTML file, Canvas 2D, no external assets, made by Tront (Trent Sterling).
